About Me

I am The Artist

“Something that has stuck with me through tough times…”

“One of the richest places in the world is a cemetery,” I read once.  “It is because so many ideas, songs, movies and books go unwritten, unheard or unseen. I didn’t want to leave this world not having done the very thing that’s in my heart and I feel like I could change the world, to touch hearts and inspire love at a time where we need it most. That alone changed everything for me.”

History

Inspired by his grandfather’s lessons growing up, RIIIVER JORDAN dedicated himself to the very thing he’d been thinking about every day. The Michigan native decided to go all-in with his biggest dream, to become a Worldwide Music Sensation. Although he grew up around music and had plans of being in a Group and even became part of one (signed and started in Los Angeles) , Jordan finally got enough to courage  to emerge as a solo artist. So, on April 22, 2017 (Earth Day) he released the video for his cover of James Arthur’s “Say You Won’t Let Go.” Jordan had become enamored with Arthur’s voice and gravitated to the song, which helped him get through a tough time in his life, which included a break-up.

The Next move was cover “There For You,” a Martin Garrix and Troy Sivan song. He listened to the Pop Song while he was working out and was thinking about the disasters in Houston and Florida at the time, as well as the racial strife consuming America. While the covers helped soothe his soul, Jordan hit his creative stride with his first piece of original material “Purple Fantasy.” Spending his last 14 months in Los Angeles, CA Jordan found himself homeless and living out of his car working 2 jobs to survive. This was until Mogul Nick Cannon stepped in finding the artist and signing him to his label ‘NCREDIBLE. Cannon once said “Your tone actually expresses your journey, I hear the love in the music, I hear the pain in the music, and that’s where you want to come from.” With wise words and guidance from Cannon, Jordan has been able to release his first single “Purple Fantasy” July 23rd of 2021.

“It’s about temptations of life and love with someone you can’t have right now, Its
about focusing your love on you and where you are headed. Nomatter the degree of
temptation.” RIIIVER JORDAN reveals. “Although you want to share your love, you hold out.”
For me, the record is very true. Having spent much of my journey catering to the
world outside of myself, I needed to focus my love and energy on self. With great
imagination and an awesome hook, you have Purple Fantasy.”

“Purple Fantasy” set the stage for RIIIVER JORDAN`s Debut EP, which is out now!

WHERE IT BEGAN

Born in Lansing Michigan to 2 Superstar parents, Jordan has plenty of rich material from which to draw for his poetry and his music. His Father MSU Legend and Rose bowl Champion and Mother an Educator and Doctor in her field are to thank for his passion and drive. Growing up in a small town dreaming of a stage kept him focus even in the midst of dark times. His near-fatal car accident at three months old only added to the inspiration to be something more. To be a Great in Musical Entertainment. His car accident left him dead for several moments, and doctors told his mother that it was a miracle that he was alive, that he wouldn’t walk, talk, or live as a normal child. A scar on his head is a daily reminder of the accident. But Jordan overcame the incident and fell in love with music. His stepfather was a producer, and he and his family always had a studio in their house. Jordan loved being in the studio with his siblings whilst also enlisting them to learn choreography and lyrics to music. Now with a relationship blossoming with his father and family in a new home he`s able to shine on a new level knowing more of himself. “I love the idea of performing and impacting lives through art” Jordan explains. “We each get to express our journey, our story of becoming.”

As a kid, Jordan imagined himself in a boyband in order to insulate himself with the comfort and support of others so close. As to grow his talents until he could emerge as a solo artist. In school, he performed in musicals and sang in both his church and high school choirs. Though he graduated Highschool a year early and even even took college courses immediately Jordan never stopped seeing his name in lights. First stop Setting up shop in Atlanta where he pursued acting and modeling. He then moved to Los Angeles to pursue a music career, but signed with a manager who failed to deliver on his promises. This setback led Jordan to strike out on his own as a solo artist. He thought he needed to fill the void of love and confidence he felt by being in a group. Instead, he found that covering songs and now recording his own material has proven to be the elixir he’d been seeking.

“I always felt God’s gift to me was my heart,” Jordan reveals. “It is so big and I’m supposed to keep sharing it. I’ve done nothing but what I thought would be good for the world and try to inspire love and make every move that I make about love.”

Now with new single “Purple Fantasy” gaining steam online and his debut EP in the works, Jordan feels as though he made the right choice by mustering the strength to pursue his dreams.
“The thing that you’re scared of most in the world is probably the thing that you’re supposed to do,” he says, “because on the other side of that fear is a change that you never saw coming.”
