About Me

I am The Artist

“Something that has stuck with me through tough times…”

“One of the richest places in the world is a cemetery,” I read once.  “It is because so many ideas, songs, movies and books go unwritten, unheard or unseen. I didn’t want to leave this world not having done the very thing that’s in my heart and I believe I have and will continue to change the world, to touch hearts and inspire love at a time where we need it most. That alone changed everything for me.”

To my mom Lisa, you were always my hero. Your journey, Our beginning together gave me a resilience and hunger that continues to prove God exist.

History

Born in Lansing, Michigan, RIIIVER JORDAN came into the world with resilience written into his story. At just three months old, a devastating car accident left him fighting for life—doctors doubted he would ever walk or talk like a normal person. Now barring a scar that rainbows across his head post brain surgery, he wears this as both a reminder and a symbol: survival fuels purpose.

“I’ve carried this scar since I was a baby—it reminds me every day that resilience is my foundation, and every step forward is a victory.”RIIIVER JORDAN

Born to an educator (now Doctor) mother and a father who became a Michigan State football legend, RIIIVER grew up surrounded by ambition and discipline. Despite early doubts about his abilities due to the accident, he not only walked—he ran, played sports, and even flipped, determined to carve his own path of strength. Inspired by his grandfather’s lessons growing up, RIIIVER JORDAN dedicated himself to the very thing he’d been thinking about every day. The Michigan native decided to go all-in with his biggest dream, to become a Worldwide Music Sensation. Although he grew up around music and had plans of being in a Group and even became part of one (signed and started in Los Angeles) , he finally got enough to courage  to emerge as a solo artist.

So, on April 22, 2017 (Earth Day) he released the video for his cover of James Arthur’s “Say You Won’t Let Go.” Even meeting the artist at his serving job on Sunset in a moment he thought to quit. He had become enamored with Arthur’s voice and gravitated to the artist and his music, which helped him get through a tough time in his life, including a break-up. The Next move was cover “There For You,” a Martin Garrix and Troy Sivan song. He listened to the Pop Song while he was working out and was thinking about the disasters in Houston and Florida at the time, as well as the racial strife consuming America. These moments, born from personal and social struggle, gave him the confidence to step fully into his artistry. By June 3, 2023, he released his debut single “Cruel Intentions”— produced by Grammy Nominated Drew Scott, which he wrote while spending 14 months living out of his car.

WHERE IT BEGAN

Music called early. His stepfather, a DJ and producer, gave him his first taste of the studio, while church choirs, school musicals, and boy-band dreams helped him discover his voice. His path wasn’t without struggle. From Atlanta to Los Angeles, he chased his vision through modeling, acting, and music, learning the industry’s highs and pitfalls. During a pivotal 14-month stretch in L.A., he endured homelessness—living in his car, working two jobs—but never let go of his dream. That persistence caught the attention of Nick Cannon, who signed him to NCREDIBLE, giving RIIIVER his first major breakthrough.

“Your tone actually expresses your journey, I hear the love in the music, I hear the pain in the music, and that’s where you want to come from.” – Nick Cannon

Since then, RIIIVER JORDAN has expanded his vision through BluPrinc (The Blue Prints)—a creative house merging music, storytelling, visuals, and movement. His work carries layers of soul, ambition, and purpose, always pushing beyond boundaries.

Now, with his long-awaited EP Departing The Moon arriving November 5, RIIIVER JORDAN stands in a new chapter—an artist who has turned trials into triumphs, scars into stories, and vision into sound.

“Departing The Moon is me leaving behind everything that tried to break me—and showing the world the man and artist I’ve become.”RIIIVER JORDAN

Now with a few stand-out singles out like “Cruel Intentions” , “Purple Fantasy”, and the newest Star Child gaining steam  online and his debut EP in the works, he feels as though he made the right choice by mustering the strength to pursue his dreams.

“The thing that you’re scared of most in the world is probably the thing that you’re supposed to do,” he says, “because on the other side of that fear is a change that you never saw coming.” – River
